By accessing and using the Labo Legal site, you accept these terms of use. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the site.

Nature of the site

The site allows you to order flat-fee legal services and gives access to informational content as well as to an AI assistant that helps you find your way. The content of the site is provided for general information only and in no way constitutes legal advice.

No lawyer-client relationship

Using the site, the AI assistant or the contact forms creates no lawyer-client relationship and carries no protection under professional secrecy. The professional relationship arises only when the firm confirms that your mandate has been opened, after verifying, among other things, that there is no conflict of interest.

Accuracy of the information you provide

You undertake to provide accurate, complete and current information when you use the site, in particular when placing an order or when providing the file information relating to a mandate.

Content provided "as is"

The content of the site is provided "as is", without warranty or condition of any kind. The firm does not warrant the quality, accuracy, completeness or currency of the content. The site may contain inaccuracies or typographical errors. The content may be modified at any time, without notice.

Computer security and downloads

You carry out any download from the site at your own risk. The firm does not warrant that the site or its content are compatible with your equipment, or that they are free of viruses, malicious software or any other element liable to damage your systems. It is up to you to take the precautions necessary to protect the security and integrity of your equipment and your data.

Electronic communications

The firm may communicate with you and send you documents electronically, in particular by email over the public Internet. You may likewise send it documents by those same means. Such communications may contain confidential information or information protected by professional secrecy.

You acknowledge that electronic communications may be intercepted, delayed, altered, lost or contain malicious elements, and you accept this method of communication despite those risks. If you prefer that certain information not be transmitted electronically, you need only inform the firm.

Indemnification

You undertake to indemnify and hold harmless Labo Legal, MEKA AVOCAT and their officers, employees and mandataries from any loss, claim, demand or liability, including reasonable legal fees, arising from a use of the site contrary to these terms, from a malicious or unlawful use of the site, or from your violation of the rights of a third party.

Prohibited uses

It is prohibited to use the site for unlawful purposes, to undermine its security or its integrity, to access it by unauthorized automated means, to extract its content systematically, or to use the AI assistant for purposes other than finding your way to our services.

Intellectual property

The content of the site is protected by applicable legislation. No right is assigned to you by reason of your use of the site.

Availability

We strive to keep the site accessible, without however guaranteeing continuous availability. Access may be suspended, in particular for maintenance, without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Labo Legal and MEKA AVOCAT cannot be held liable for direct or indirect damages arising from the use of the site, of its informational content or of the answers generated by the AI assistant, or from the inability to use the site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Québec. Any dispute relating to the site will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Montréal.

Links to third-party sites

The site may contain links to sites operated by third parties, provided for your convenience. The firm exercises no control over those sites and assumes no responsibility for their content, their practices or their availability.

Amendments

We may amend these terms at any time. The version in force is the one published on this page on the date of your use of the site.
